Fashion or sports Photographer /My perfect job?

Well, today task is a little bit polemic i think. because to me an awfull job can be anything related with numbers or bureaucracy but i insist, it's just my opinion =).
We are in chile, is a small country between the ocean, we only have 16 million people and the half of them, or even less people who are avaliable to work (older 18 years old and without legal history) oh, and we have to consider the job offers that the season brings, that today everybody says that "today the unemployment statistics says there is almost 50% more jobs for people)". but what kind of jobs? that's a good question, you may think in a regular job as something related with your profession or even if is not an exactly job for your profession (example, you're an english teacher, but the job for you is checking the rest of english teachers in your school, you're not exactly teaching someone but at least you work in the language you know and with people similar to you) you can learn about and apply later to your future job. but NO!!!! the "regular jobs" are like garbage collector, public areas gardener, even the people who works picking up the gum stick in the floor. is there a way that people who work in that be happy someday? i personally don't think so... the jobs are just temporary and doesn't offer more oportunities, there is not a posibility to scale in work, that's sad but true.

Passing to another topic, if i could choose a job... what would be? hard question xD
as the title said, a job for me would be a fashion photographer, because is a mixture of fashion (a passion for me since i was so little) and photography, both things ini the world i really enjoy.
Been a fashion photographer is not easy, inspite you use the camera allways (well almost allways) in auto-focus and after the take you can edit the picture and let it completely perfect, you have to be very fast and precise because if the model put a funny face or a very complicated pose and you didn't capture it you're really f*cked up because someone else could take it and all your work won't be able to be in the magazine.

Here i left you a couple pictures of an amazing fashion photographer (also one of the most popular because its good in his job and also a very good looking guy 1313 xD)

His name is Nigel Barker

I hope you enjoy the images and if you want to see more of this guy.

If your pictures aren't good enough, you're not close enough,"

Today i will really enjoy this post, sometimes i wonder myself saying "what would happen if someday go to a march and between the photographers appears one guy with an analogue camera, close to the conflict and near from all the action, and of course called ROBERT CAPA"

The phrase i posted in the title reflected what robert capa was. someone decided, and a passionate photographer who let him cameras talk by itself, that is one of the many reasons why i would be excited to meet him. sadly he died in 1954 :(, died in duty killed by a landmine at Thai Binh, as he tried to get just that little bit closer, just like he said, just like his life.

I've allways admired the force he had and the "other way" to see the war or conflicts, despite some people think "oh that's morbid, it's just a bunch of bloody corpes all over the floor" to me it's just a man who decided to go with an extra eye and with it capture his side of the war, someday some people will se the pictures and will have a record of its time in the world.
If he would be alive, anoher difficult question to me would be "what the hell am i gonna talk with him?" lol, it's funny when we say "oh i wish to meet this guy/girl/actrees whatever and have in front of me and say that i love him/her" but we all know that never happen XD. but inspite of that i think i'd asking him "why photography and not another career more conventional or with less risk than to be a war photographer, another question (a little bit stupid) would be what type of film he prefers and of course what lens did he use to take all the pictures he took, i'm pretty sure he'll get bore but at least i'd make another dream came true, and that's a good thing right?

For my generation would be interesting to have one point of view in specific, in particular "these one" because all people who start photography, in particular, journalistic photography have to make works in based the look of capa or see him pictures in classes. hope not to be much wrong :P

Take care all of you!

Viva chile mierda ...Y LOS CHANCHO EN PIEDRA!

Hi everyone, first than anything i'm very sorry for not update my blog in the right time, but i was so ill, stayed in bed with a horrible flu( usually is easy for me to get ill, but now... in SPRING, i don't have an answer, lol)

Today i am going to write about my favourite song, or one o the looooooong list of favourites songs, at the moment, is "eden - Chancho en piedra"

I heard this song when i was twelve years old or something, since i was a little girl i liked chancho en piedra's music, funk music, it was fun to see my parents telling their friends "our daughter listen funk music, and she's only 8 years old!" well, now i'm twenty and still like funk, and chancho en piedra.

This band caught my attention because their lyrics, so funny and charged of true statements about the chilean society (but whoy not to say...also the general society), they have songs like the one i posted in the blog like "eden" and also songs like "condor" that talks about this typical chilean bird that is already in extintion risk.
Eden talks about a type of world for "marranos" or people like us who want a light world, with nothing to worry about, just a paradise, is like the song said "en este cielo funk hay cabida para todos los animales" . why stay here in a heavy world, full of pessimistic people, and who try everything to make you believe in their rules and follow them. why to stay there if you can go to this "eden" i personally would go there, definitely, people there is completely happy. ands in a grey world, put a little color wouldn't be that bad right?

Well... listen the song and i hope you enjoy it =)

Take care!

In New york!

...Concrete jungle where dreams are made of, There's nothing you can't do, Now you're in New York.

As the song said, this concrete jungle is a place i absolutely would like to visit, and why not... to live in there =), i'm talking about "New york city"

to me is one of the best cities in the world (not because is in united states) with high buildings and full of color and light in the night (the picture i show you is "the big apple" in the afternoon), new york is, to me (join to Paris) the center of world, and that is one of the many reasons that would make me live there.
Besides the grandiloquence that the city offers to the most of millions of people who travel everyday from one extreme to the other in this big city (obviously is not the same compared to travel here in santiago, new york is bigger than santiago).

Another characteristic that i love in this city is the time when new york turns into the "Capital of fashion" or better said when happen the "NEW YORK FASHION WEEK"
this is an entire week full of fashion designers, journalists, models and people of showbusiness who go the city expecting to see the trends in fashion, the young designers, and why not, the latest piece of art from Dolce and gabbana, or Marc jabobs (these are one of the most importants brands of design i know and follow) this is a big show that i hope to see someday live and directly.

New york is fashion, is design, business and also architecture, almost all its buildings are piece of art, has rest of history and some many other charasteristics i don't remember right now, but i'm sure when i remember it i'll post =) that's for sure. As you can read i would like to visit and who knows, live there, why not! i would like to work in a magazine or have my own art gallery (new york has a lot of it by the way), work as a Fashion photographer (that would be one of my dreams come true :P) editor or something like that, connected of course with art.

I promisse you guys if i travel someday there, show you all the pictures i take in NYC (sorry if that sounds a little swagger)

Take care all of you =) see you at the next post :D
